Free Tips From Consortyo

Run Cat6 as the main data or telecom wire! CAT6 provides greater bandwidth over CAT5E, and can support higher data rates upwards of 10Gbps.

We pride ourselves on our ability to communicate clearly and effectively throughout the entire process, from planning to installation and beyond.

We make this possible by giving you direct access to a dedicated project manager, who oversees the entire job. The installation is then carried out by highly informed and capable technicians.

Our work doesn’t end when the installation is complete. A series of tests will be done to make sure everything is working as intended. Then, your team will be trained on all of your devices so that they can quickly get up to speed, maximizing productivity and efficiency.

When it comes to designing, planning, and installing low voltage systems, Consortyo can do it all. Consortyo can also help with mounting devices and other elements of your project. Call us today to find out all the ways Consortyo can support your project’s needs.

What Clients Are Saying

Great service and professional installers! Hiring Insyte was such a great experience. We have had so many bad providers in the past and Insyte just did a superior job from start to finish. I highly recommend their services.

Very professional from the first contact to the installers arrival and their quality work. I could not be happier!

Excellent service from all at Insyte; Atu and Beth. All very friendly and helpful explaining everything in its simplistic terms as I have no IT skills, very patient. I would recommend them 100% with confidence.

Differences Between Low Voltage And High Voltage

Simply put, low voltage cables carry a smaller amount of electricity compared to high voltage cables. A low voltage wire is anything 48 volts or less.

Because of the low amount of electricity running through a low voltage wire, these cables are safe to touch and don’t have nearly the same requirements as a high voltage wire. Touching a high voltage wire can be extremely dangerous. At the very least, you’re going to feel some tingling. However, it is unlikely that you will feel anything should you touch a low voltage wire.

Because of the differences, low voltage installation is much different from installing high voltage cabling. Low voltage wires can be free run throughout a facility. While this provides for extra flexibility in how these cables are installed, special care needs to be made to make sure the wires can handle being exposed, and won’t be damaged or destroyed.

The experts at Consortyo understand the best ways to install low voltage wires and back up our work with a five year warranty.

Organization And Planning Is Critical

It’s easy for low voltage projects to require hundreds, even thousands of wires. If the system is just thrown together without any thought to long-term care, it will quickly devolve into a convoluted mess. When that happens, changing or expanding your system can become a massive challenge (or downright impossible).

We have seen systems so bad that the easiest way forward was to cut all of the wires, rip them out, and start fresh. This can be a massive waste of money and resources, which proper planning and organization should be easy to avoid.

Free Tips From Consortyo

Label, Label, Label! Sorting through hundreds of cables is NOT the time to try and guess which cable does what.

It is critical to take the time when installing the system to make sure everything is properly planned and executed.

Properly organized low voltage installations will make sure that every wire is labeled accurately, and that the wires are secured with velcro to prolong the life of the cables.
